PM Hun Sen wants to release more prisoners

PHNOMPENH: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Thursday that he was ready to ask Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni to make a pardon for Cambodian prisoners in a big package within months after 6 prosioners of activists had been released.

The current and elected Premier Hun Sen said that "I have a plan to ask [King Norodom Sihamoni] and pardon more prisoners at least 7 people in a package in coming months".

On Friday last week, Cambodian social analyst Dr. Kem Sok who was sentenced 18 moths imprisonment was released. And early this week, 4 Boeung Kak land acvitists and 2 former Radio Free Asia reporters were also relased.
